WITH the cricket season fast approaching, news comes of two mergers in the Kent League.
Beckenham have merged with Sydenham which, also subject to ground approval, means that Barbados Overseas C.C., 1st & 2nd XIs will take the place of Sydenham in Division 3.
Halls have merged with neighbouring Dartford and, subject to ground approval, the league's management has invited Offham 1st XI and New Ash Green 2nd XI to take the place of Halls in Division 3.
A Kent League spokes-man said: "We decided it was preferable to invite the new clubs into the league and deal with a few fixture problems, than potentially leave sides in Division Three with only 15 fixtures."
