POLICE have renewed an appeal for information on the 16th anniversary of the disappearance of teenager, Damien Nettles.
Detectives are calling on the community to recall and reflect on events in Cowes on November 2, 1996 when the 16 year old from Gurnard was last, seen during a night out.
A reward of £20,000, funded by Hampshire Constabulary, remains on offer until the start of April 2013 for information leading to his location.
Senior investigating officer, Supt Dave Powell, said: "Since the police reward was announced, we have received at least 20 pieces of information."
Police said they would not disclose further details about the new information at this stage.
Supt Powell said: "It’s important to take this opportunity to thank everyone who continues to raise and reinforce awareness of this case.
"Adverts appealing for information about Damien are being screened on Wightlink ferries from this week until the end of March when the time period for this reward ends."
