Damien Nettles: Walk recreates his last known steps

Thursday, November 3, 2016 - 10:26

SUPPORTERS of Damien Nettles’ family came together in Cowes last night (Wednesday), for a walk retracing his last known steps on the 20th anniversary of his disappearance.
They hope it could help prompt someone to come forward with fresh information.
The walk began at the floating bridge before going to Cowes High Street to the former 'Yorkies’ fish and chip shop before ending where Damien was last seen outside the former Co-op at around midnight.
The walk was organised by friend of the Nettles family, Lynn Hammond.
Her grandson, Kieron Donkersley, 15, stood in for Damien and recreated his movements of the cold November night two decades ago.
Lynn said: "Val is a very dear old friend of mine. Damien disappeared and I just want to keep him in the public eye for Val’s sake in the hope that someone will say something.
"Somebody knows something in Cowes and we have a lot of information which can’t be put in the public domain. I think he met a grisly end. I think he crossed somebody he should not have done."
