AN APPEAL against the refusal of a 74-metre wind turbine near Carisbrooke will be heard in November.
Council planners said the controversial proposal, to build the turbine on land next to Betty Haunt Lane, would be too noisy and have an adverse, overbearing impact on the surrounding area.
The applicants lodged an appeal in July and the hearing is scheduled to take place on November 12.

Point taken James. The term was used as a statement of fact rather than as a derogatory epithet.

The problem, John, is when you start using epithets like "idiot" you are descending to his level. He is entitled to his opinion, whether we agree with it, or not. Name calling , however, has no place in adult debate. As soon as you resort to it (particularly to the level of vehemence used by Don) you are effectively announcing that you have lost the debate.
