Guru Nanak secured promotion to Division Two West of the Nuclear Electric League with a 0-0 draw at home to Larkfield and Hythe. In a game where neither side was able to turn chances into goals, Gurus' Jesvinder Bhens missed a number of opportunities.

At the other end Bhadur Atwal kept Larkfield at bay with a string of fine saves. The Gurus ended their first season in the Kent County league with 17 points from 21 in their last seven games, clinching second place in Division Three West.

Manager Nirmal Dingri was delighted with his team's performance, especially towards the end of the season. "We didn't know what we were going to be up against - we've held our own and gained promotion as a bonus. We've played some good football this year," he said.
