MOST people have heard of DECADeANCE and on Saturday there was what was billed as a Delightfully Decadent Dinner Dance.

The latest Cowes Yacht Haven event was organised by DECADeANCE founder DJ Tony Martin after a close family member, 56-year-old Nigel Sampson lost his five year battle against cancer.

Already a supporter of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice since 2009 with the £40,000 - plus profits from the DECADeANCE events Tony decided that the latest evening would support the Oracle Cancer Trust — the UK's leading charity that is solely dedicated to funding pioneering scientific and clinical research into head and neck cancer.

Tickets cost £50 and included a three course, meal, drink on arrival and live entertainment from Groove Union. More than £3,000 was raised for the charity.

Tony paid tribute to all the businesses and individuals who came together to contribute to the evening including those who gave prizes to the grand draw and raffle.

"It really was a fantastic night," he said.
