A DEMENTIA Awareness Day is to be held on the Isle of Wight next Wednesday (16).

The event, organised by the Memory Service, will be held at St Mary’s Hospital conference room, between 10am and 3pm.

Representatives from services including Age UK, Alzheimers Café, Hampton Trust and social services will be there and the event is open to all.

People will be able to raise concerns or questions about themselves or loved ones, which will be dealt with discreetly and confidentially, an NHS spokesman said.
