A DIGGER has caught fire on Tennyson Down this morning (Thursday).
Firefighters were called to the blaze, understood to be near the Dimbola Lodge entrance to the down, at around 11.50am.
Due to a lack of water on site, firefighters did not extinguish the fire but were monitoring it to ensure it remained self-contained.
