DRIVERS face weeks of potential delays between Cowes and Newport, starting tomorrow (Wednesday).
Stop and go boards will be used between Noke Common, Newport and Enterprise Way at Somerton Industrial Estate, Cowes, while Scottish and Southern Electric replaces some of its poles.
The work is due to finish on Thursday, March 28, and will mainly be carried out on week days.
The Isle of Wight Council has warned some work might be necessary at weekends, but has said all work should be carried out between 9am and 4pm, to avoid peak traffic times.
The works are due to start at Noke Common and progress towards Somerton.
