A 19-YEAR-OLD DJ is bringing world-class talent to the Isle of Wight as part of a new string of dance nights.
Unhappy with the Isle of Wight music scene, Eden Pardey from Shanklin — aka Just Eden — decided to organise his own club nights, named Bassline Sessions.
After the success of the inaugural event in January, which was headlined by garage artist FLAVA D and sold 300 tickets, Eden is now preparing for the next evening on April 8 at Ventnor Winter Gardens.
Eden said: "It’s giving all young people from ages 18 upwards something to do at the weekend."
The house DJ has already sold more than 150 tickets.
This time, the line-up boasts signed artistes Holy Goof and Darkzy — and Eden will also be playing.
He said: "I’m absolutely buzzing for the next event. I never thought when I started off, four years later I would be booking and playing with huge named artists."
Eden released his first record on Matrix Music Records last year but he started DJing on vinyl when he was 13, before moving on to CDs at 16.
Bassline Sessions is also giving opportunity for Island DJs to take to the decks, as Alfie Hancock and Eddie C will also be joining the line up.
Eighteen-year-old Alfie said: "It was a super event and night out last time. It gives a chance for DJs such as myself to play with big performers and it is also a great night out for Islanders."
