Do you know the owner of this terrier?

This dog was found trapped in brambles by a railway line.

THIS is the sad face of a small terrier which was found trapped next to the Island’s railway line.

The RSPCA centre at Godshill is now caring for the animal, which was discovered with a head wound infested with fly eggs.

Now, the Isle of Wight Council’s Dog Warden Service is urging the owner of the dog to come forward and claim him.

The terrier was discovered by workmen on Monday, trapped in brambles at Smallbrook Lane in Ryde.

They managed to cut him free and contacted the council’s dog wardens who collected him.

The dog was taken to a vet, where its head wound was cleaned and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Anyone who thinks they own the dog should contact the centre on 01983 840287 or the Isle of Wight Council’s dog warden service on 01983 550980 and provide proof of ownership.

Anyone who thinks they may know the dog owner is encouraged to come forward with information.
