Grafton Club A 3, Coulsdon A 3

Fourth-placed Coulsdon went to the premiership's top club in New Malden and came away with a draw in what proved a very entertaining match.

Paul Compton took an early lead but despite a 29 break lost the second to Reg Garbutt, who made breaks of 25 and 26.

Bill Taylor then gave Coulsdon the lead but Grant Warner hit back with breaks of 38 and 39 to level up.

Coulsdon looked like causing an upset when Howard Salmen netted the next with a break of 32 but Grafton's `Mr Reliable' Jeff Smithers knocked in a 33 and a 31 to make the score three each. Grafton are now waiting for the outcome of Sutton B's match at Rhodrons to see if they remain top.
