DRAINAGE problems on the Cowes to Newport cycleway are worse than first thought.
Works to resolve the flooding will now go on for two more weeks, until December 11.
While this additional work is carried out, the diversion via Stag Lane and Horsebridge Hill will remain in place.
The £30,000 scheme involves reconstructing the drainage system underneath the former railway line just north of Dodnor Lane.
Flooding, up to one-metre in depth, has previously made the track impassable.
