Driver urged to come forward after teenager injured

A DRIVER involved in a collision with a 13-year-old girl has been urged to contact Isle of Wight police.

The collision occured close to the crematorium between midnight and 1am, last Monday.

The girl was with friends and as they crossed the road she was involved in a collision with a car, police said.

A spokesman said: "The motorist stopped at the scene and he took the girl to hospital where she was treated for ankle and hip injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening.

"Police are appealing for the driver and any other witnesses to come forward."
