DURING December, ladies of the guild enjoyed some very good speakers along with some festive spirit and Christmas Fayre.
At the January meeting, Janet Eavis gave a talk on the history of Blue and White China, she showed a selection of her own china for all to see.
A most comprehensive talk was given the social studies section by Mr Colin Burring about how the Cutty Sark started out as a Tea Clipper and is now in dry dock at Greenwich - an interesting and humorous talk.
The arts and crafts section continue with their marquetry, parchment cards and decorating eggs, and the garden and homes section celebrate their first meeting of 2002 with tea and cakes.
