THREE Orpington Ojays swimmers at-tended the City of Glasgow Long-Course gala and achieved excellent results while competing against Britain's top swimmers.
Jo Mullins came a very close second in the 200 metres individual medley and won bronze in both the 50 and 100 metres breaststroke.
Matthew Perkins, who swam in the same heat as an Olympic Games' medalist, achieved a personal best to come a creditable 13th in the 100-metre freestyle.
Marie Heselden, at her first Grand Prix, produced some excellent swims, gaining first reserve in the 100 metres breaststroke and second reserve 100 metres freestyle.
At the Kent County Chanpionships the same weekend, there were also some good swims.
Charmaine Brown won gold in the junior and open 200-metre breaststroke and Emily Brown came second in the 15-years 200 metres breaststroke.
Emma Hulls won gold in the open 50 metres butterfly and Hazel Colbourne came home with a bronze in the 12 years' event.
Michelle Beaumont achieved bronze in the 14-years 400 metres freestyle.
In the boys' events, Daniel Browne won silver in the 12-years 200 metres individual medley and bronze in the 200 metres breaststroke, while Chris Clarke also gained a bronze in the 16-years 200 metres individual medley and 200 metres breaststroke.
