Four Edgware youths have been charged in connection with the death of a man in a car crash on Tuesday last week.

Student Sandeep Jain, 24, from Hendon, who was driving north on the A1 between Apex Corner in Mill Hill and and Stirling Corner in Borehamwood, died after a collision with a stolen Vauxhall Calibra.

A post mortem confirmed Mr Jain died as a result of multiple injuries after being thrown from his car.

A 16-year-old boy appeared before Hendon magistrates on Thursday last week.

He was charged with causing death by dangerous driving; driving while disqualified, and one count of burglary relating to the alleged theft of the vehicle. He was remanded in custody.

Three other 16-year-olds, two boys and a girl who are believed to have been passengers in the car, were charged with aggravated taking and driving away. They will appear on bail at Barnet Youth Court on July 29.
