WINDMILL OPENS: Croydon's historic Shirley Windmill will be opening its doors to the public in a series of free heritage open days. Recently restored to full working order, the windmill built in 1854 will be open from noon until 5pm on Sunday, May 14.

FUNFAIR MOVES: The Croydon Lions spring funfair has been switched from Purley's Rotary Field to the Recreation Ground in Old Coulsdon. The Fair opens today and is on until Sunday, May 14.

NEW CENTRE OPENS: Croydon Epilepsy Society has officially moved into a new centre after leaving its old base for financial reasons. You can now find the society at The Len Pyant Community Centre in Elmwood Road, Croydon.
