BLACKGANG Chine's new dinosaur attraction was officially opened this weekend with a flashmob-style dance routine performed by Isle of Wight youngsters.

Members of Wightstars theatre group welcomed visitors to the park's high-security dino enclosure, Restricted Area 5, with an energetic routine to '80s favourite Walk the Dinosaur.

Park manager Dan Selle said: "We are delighted to see the reactions from our visitors to Restricted Area 5, which is set against a perfect backdrop of amazing views out to sea.

"We have completely reinvented this whole area, mixing some of the old iconic and much loved dinosaurs with the next generation of animatronic ones, in a way that takes experiences with dinosaurs to another level."

For more on the new attraction, please see the Isle of Wight County Press on Friday, April 11.
