Factor 50 for Isle of Wight wallabies

AFTER their albino wallabies were protected from the blazing sunshine by bottles of Nivea suncream, staff from an Isle of Wight animal park have appealed to the skincare company to sponsor them.

Seaview Wildlife Encounter keepers posted a picture on their Dippy Seaview Facebook page of one of the wallabies enjoying having the lotion sprayed on their ears, with a caption saying: "I wonder if Nivea would sponsor us as we are getting through a lot of factor 50 in this heatwave!"

One animal that seemed unperturbed by recent hot weather however, was this fox, photographed relaxing on the rocks at Ventnor last week.
