OVEREATERS Anonymous -- it sounds like a joke, doesn't it? But it's no joke to be obsessed about food and use it like a drug to push down feelings.

Thankyou Harlow Citizen for showing us a way out of this hell by directing us to Overeaters Anonymous.

Your reporter Gemma Hornett was so sympathetic, and in a few words in your paper, suggested we listen to ACR radio last Saturday.

Julie Jones at ACR radio interviewed us and put us at our ease, allowing us to tell our story with tears and with laughter.

We've tried diets, pills and other ways to control this food problem, but OA showed us there is another way, and that we are not alone -- ever.

We meet every Thursday in the Rainbow Room at the Latton Bush Centre in Harlow at 8pm. There are no dues, no fees and no diets, just a simple effective programme helping us one day at a time.

Thanks to OA, I have my life back.

JANE,

Harlow.
