Purfleet have two of the premier division leading scorers. But a determined Dulwich side pressed on with their attacking play and were unfortunate to be behind at the interval.

The second half saw Dulwich force the game even more and with seven minutes remaining they were rewarded for their hard work when a corner from Kevin Smith found the head of a Purfleet defender who headed past his own keeper. The equaliser was a fair reflection on the game and a point in the bag.

Croydon FC on the other hand were guilty of not working hard enough. An early goal would have seen Croydon go on and win the game comfortably but this was not to be and their opponents, Barton Rovers, gained some confidence and finished the first half on level terms.

The second half saw Barton improve and Croydon get worse. It was no surprise when on 63 minutes a fairly harmless effort was awarded to enter the net via a fumble from keeper Wastell.

A later goal saw Barton complete a double over table toppers Croydon.

Things were not much better down at Church Road where Whyteleafe were at home to the big spending Bishop Stortford.

Bishop Stortford completed a double over Whyteleafe, and severely dented any promotion hopes.
