Missing Isle of Wight man Sam Perkis.
MISSING dad-of-two Sam Perkis’ family have made a heartfelt appeal for him to return home.
Police are increasingly concerned about the 25 year old, of Pell Lane, Ryde, last seen in the Ryde area at around 10am on Sunday.
Insp Terry Clawson said the carpet fitter was known to drive a British racing green coloured Rover 214, registration V375 EHG, not seen since Mr Perkis’ disappearance.
Mr Perkis has been described as white, six foot tall with dark hair and hazel-coloured eyes and was last seen wearing a purple polo top, blue jacket, black jeans and trainers.
His mother, Debbi Lewis, said: "We are extremely worried. We are all going out of our mind.
"If you are reading this Sam, please, please come home. Everyone loves you and we just want you back safe and well."
Friends and family of Mr Perkis have conducted their own searches, including one of Parkhurst Forest today (Wednesday).
Mrs Lewis went on to say: "It is so unlike Sam to go off like that. I can’t believe no one has found his car yet.
"The whole family went to Parkhurst Forest with friends to look for Sam, while others have driven around looking for him, for which I’m grateful."
Mr Perkis’ partner, Tara Jerram, 30, of Dover Street, Ryde, said: "We had a silly argument, but all is forgiven. No one is angry and we just want him to come home. The kids want to see him."
Insp Clawson said: "Sam is not a vulnerable person, but his disappearance is totally out of character. He is not a victim of crime, nor is he a suspect.
"It is unlikely he has left the Island, but we cannot discount the possibility he may have done so.
"Finding his vehicle is key to our investigation. As far as was are concerned, we are looking everywhere for Sam. We have officers around the Island looking for his vehicle.
"We are aware of the friends searching Parkhurst Forest. Although we are grateful for any assistance, I stress this is just one location where he may be. I don’t want people to assume this is the only place we are looking for him.
"If Sam is reading this, I would urge him to come forward and contact either his family or the police on 101 to let them know he is safe and well."
