THE FAMILY of a woman who died after her car went over a cliff at Compton last week have spoken of their shock.

As reported by the County Press, an inquest opening heard yesterday that the body Angela Slater, 48, of Salterns Way, Poole, Dorset, was recovered from the bottom of the cliff by emergency services last Tuesday.

A post mortem revealed she had died of multiple injuries.

In a statement issued through police today (Tuesday), the Slater family said: "Angela was a beautiful, intelligent, warm, loving person who dedicated her life to the welfare of others, and whose energy and enthusiasm warmed the lives of everyone she touched.

"Her family are deeply shocked and saddened that she left the world in this way. At this time they would like the privacy to mourn together, and will not be issuing any further statements or photographs."

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the inquest had been adjourned to a date yet to be fixed.
