Famous faces back Isle of Wight Toy Appeal

THE Isle of Wight Toy Appeal has had support from some famous faces this year.

The appeal, which hopes to collect thousands of gifts for deserving young Islanders who might miss out at Christmas, has had messages of support from Dame Ellen MacArthur, double Olympic gold medallist Shirley Robertson, TV presenters Jenni Falconer, Richard Arnold and Chris Packham, newsreader Fred Dinenage and Bestival curator Rob da Bank.

Island MP Andrew Turner has tweeted messages of support, while Level 42 frontman Mark King has recorded an advert for the appeal which is being shown on Red Funnel ferries.
