Farm shop deliveries to continue

GODSHILL Organics farm shop, which announced last week that it was to close, will continue to run some services.

The shop, situated on Newport Road, between Rookley and Godshill, will close on October 21 after 21 years of trading.

But the family-run Isle of Wight company will continue to attend farmers’ markets and run its doorstep delivery service — which may even expand.

Meanwhile other parts of the business which share the same site, including House of Chilli, remain fully open and unaffected.

Lee Illman, a partner in the business, said: "Just the farm shop is to close; at the moment it’s not financially viable but that’s not to say that if things change we won’t reopen it."
