A DRIVER involved in a crash in which a young woman suffered fatal injuries, has been arrested by Isle of Wight police.
The 26-year-old man suffered non-serious injuries in the crash on the A3054, near Boulnor, on Friday.
The driver of the other vehicle, Rachel Titley, 28, of St Saviour's Road, Totland, was taken to hospital but died of her injuries.
A police spokesman confirmed today (Thursday) that the 26-year-old man, who was driving a Citroen Xsara, had been arrested yesterday (Wednesday) on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
He has been released on police bail until March 12, 2014.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact Sergeant Andy Lynch at the Road Death Investigation team on 101 quoting Operation Bach.
