UPDATED 06.00

FERRY travel to and from the Isle of Wight has been affected by the increasingly adverse weather conditions.

*6am UPDATES:

Red Funnel had the Red Jet services and Car Services back on schedule and running without any issues. The 04.15 car ferry from Southampton departed on time.

Hovertravel confirmed that they are running as usual, with no delays.

Wightlink's website says that the ferry company is currently experiencing no travel problems.

Monday Disruption:

*At 8pm Red Funnel announced that all Red Jet services would be cancelled for the remainder of the night. The car ferry is running a disrupted service between East Cowes and Southampton.

At just before 6.15pm Red Funnel said the Red Osprey car ferry was unable to dock and was waiting in Cowes water. It later docked and is running again.

The Floating Bridge has now resumed service. It had  shut for around two hours because of poor weather conditions.

Wightlink has announced that it will be running a shuttle service between Portsmouth and Fishbourne until further notice.

*The Wightlink Catamaran service between Ryde Pier and Portsmouth Harbour resumed sailings at 7.15pm

It had earlier suspended this service.

High winds forced the Lymington to Yarmouth car ferry to be temporarily suspended.

Wightlink announced extra crossings between its Portsmouth and Fishbourne crossing. See here

Hovertravel announced at 11.50 that it has been forced to suspend its services.

Customers should visit www.hovertravel.co.uk/service-status.php to find out how they can claim compensation.

Now come on Neil - will you be wearing it (suit) or sitting on it (suite)? - Get it wrong and you will be uncomfortable!

I left my house in Micheldever at 12:45 for the 13:30 car ferry. I got to East Cowes at 17:00. It was really choppy and like a cattle truck. Good luck to all trying to get home tonight.
