A MASS singalong to Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer provided the perfect finale to a monumental Isle of Wight Festival tonight (Sunday).
The New Jersey rockers closed the main stage with a marathon set list of hits spanning their 30-year career, including Dead or Alive, You Give Love a Bad Name, It's My Life and Keep the Faith
They also managed to slot in a couple of surprises for good measure, including a version of Status Quo's Rockin' All Over The World and The Rolling Stones' Start Me Up
Aside from another legendary headline performance, Sunday at the 2013 IW Festival will be one to remember for many reasons.
It saw the reincarnation of Bob Geldof's Boomtown Rats, who played together for the first time in 27 years, as well as the demise of hard rock act Little Angels, who announced it would be their last ever gig.
The Boomtown Rats proved they have still got what it takes, getting the crowd going with hits like I Don't Like Mondays, Looking After Number One and Rat Trap
On their third visit to the IW Festival, The Script proved more than worthy of their pre-headliner billing, performing a set full of chart-topping hits.
Singles like Break Even, The Man Who Can't Be Moved, Hall of Fame, and Six Degrees of Separation were delivered in style, with plenty of energy and crowd participation along the way.
Also on the bill was Hackney songstress Paloma Faith, whose hits included New York, Never Tear Us ApartFall to Grace and I'd Rather Go Blind, dedicated to her inspiration, Etta James.
Soulful singer/songwriter Newton Faulkner, Make Me Smile stars Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel and the IW's Wight Noize winners, The Bear Social, completed the Sunday bill.
Meanwhile, Sunday's Big Top was opened by young Island singers Resonate. Among the other acts on stage were Manchester trio I Am Kloot, Vegas rockers Imagine Dragons and the legendary Blondie.
