WHAT was thought to be a house fire was discovered to be smoke coming from fumigators in an unoccupied house yesterday (Tuesday).
Firefighters were called to the house, in Weeks Road, Ryde, and could see smoke inside the property.
They discovered several fumigation devices in rooms around the house, which were later removed by the owner.
Firefighters also tackled an unattended bonfire at a site in Heatherwood Park Road, Totland yesterday (Tuesday) evening.
