A FIRE at East Cowes allotments is being investigated by police.
Firefighters were called to Cadet Walk at 6.50pm on Sunday to extinguish a 25 metre by 25 metre area.
Initially, one appliance from East Cowes was called. Another from Newport and a bulk water carrier were also used, in an operation lasting an hour.
A fire and rescue service spokesman said no sheds were threatened by the fire.
