Fire at Freshwater charity shop

ISLE of Wight Fire and Rescue crews have been called to a fire at a Freshwater charity shop tonight (Wednesday).

Three fire engines are dealing with the fire at the Wessex Cancer Trust building on Moa Place after being called at 6.48pm.

Crews searched the building and no-one is thought to have been injured.

Shortly before 8pm the fire and rescue servce said the fire was under control and crews were checking adjacent properties for smoke. 

*The fire was extinguished by 8.34pm.
