Fire crews called to hospital

ISLE of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to St Mary's Hospital this evening (Monday) after smoke was seen coming from a light fitting.

The incident was reported at 8.16pm and three fire engines and an aerial ladder unit were sent to the scene initially.

Firefighters discovered part of a light fitting in a cafe area had overheated.
