A LAND Rover technician from Bishop's Stortford has scooped one of the company's top accolades.

Paul Adams, 28, who has worked at Broadfields Land Rover for the three years, beat off stiff competition to win the Master Technician of the Year title.

The national final was held at Land Rover's technical academy in Warwickshire when the five finalists had to answer a detailed questionnaire, which tested their technical knowledge, before taking part in a round of rigorous interviews and problem solving workshops.

Mr Adams said: "We had to perform a series of tasks and resolve specially staged technical problems throughout the day.

"It was a tough day and because you have no idea how the others have performed, I had no idea I'd won."

As well as being awarded the title, Mr Adams also won a holiday to the United States.
