Fire in prison cell

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in an HMP Isle of Wight Prison cell this evening (Wednesday).

The blaze, which is understood to have been in a cell in the Parkhurst segregation unit, was reported at about 6.30pm, but was out on arrival, according to the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service control room.
