The MP spoke out during a parliamentary debate on the transport bill when Mr Prescott stated that the air traffic control system was being privatised to enable it to cope with the predicted huge increase in air traffic predicted over the next five to 10 years.
She said: "The Government has now admitted that air traffic will increase despite all the claims by BAA to the contrary during the public inquiry."
