Firefighters called to Ventnor property

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a property in Ventnor following an electrical fire this evening (Thursday).

Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ryde and Newport were called to the property in Market Street at 6.37pm, according to a spokeswoman.

She said the fire was extinguished using a hose and a dry powder extinguisher and electrical engineers were called to the property.

The incident was over by 7.42pm.
