IN WHAT must surely be one of the shortest managerial appointments in history, Harlow have been left searching for a new manager.

Since the now somewhat premature announcement from the Hawks last week that Dave Edwards had become Ian Allinson's successor last week, Edwards decided not to accept the position after all, citing other work commitments, making it one of the quickest management spells in football.

It is believed that the former Hawks boss has returned to Essex Senior League side Leyton, where he was managing before agreeing to take over at the Sportscentre last week.

This has come as a massive blow to the Essex club, but, in the meantime, Andy Walker will continue to act as caretaker-manager.

Harlow are now inviting all interested applicants to forward details at the earliest to: the Chairman, Harlow Town Football Club, Hammarskjold Road, Harlow. Essex. CM20 2JF. chairman@harlowtownfc.co.uk
