Firefighters free woman

FIREFIGHTERS were called to free a woman after a two car Isle of Wight crash.

They were called soon after 2.30pm Tuesday to the collision at the junction of Brook Road and Carter Avenue at Shanklin.

The woman was reported to have suffered facial and head injuries and was taken to St Mary's Hospital.

A spokesman for the Isle of Wight NHS Trust today (Wednesday), said the woman had been treated and discharged from hospital.
