I cannot believe what J Hamilton from Thornton Heath wrote in his (her?) letter to the Guardian, February 6.

I'd like to know what is so good about dogs chasing after a fox and ripping it apart. People do not have any compassion these days.

I suggest that Hamilton sorts himself out and actually looks at the facts before speaking.

I am in the animal rights organisation Animal Aid and I am very much into animal rights.

I wish people would think about animals and have compassion.

It scares me to think of the lack of intelligence in my own country.
