Friday, August 8, 2014

THERE will be changes to the floating bridge service for tonight's (Friday) Cowes Week fireworks.

The Isle of Wight Council said there would be a special service for pedestrians only from 6pm to 11pm.

Only emergency vehicles will be allowed to use the floating bridge during that time and all other vehicles will be diverted via Newport.

The floating bridge is due to run continuously until 1.50am from Cowes and 1.40am from East Cowes.

There will be additional crossings from Cowes at 2.30am, 2.50am and 3.10am and from East Cowes at 2.40am and 3am.
