UPDATED MONDAY 09:21*
RESIDENTS of Undercliff Drive have been dealt a further blow, with access now blocked from St Lawrence because of flooding.
Island Roads have closed the road between Inglewood Park and Seven Sisters Road due to flooding caused by a nearby spring. Water reportedly reached depths of 2ft.
The road was closed yesterday (Thursday) with engineers due to reassess the situation today.
It comes in the wake of landslips that led to the evacuation of some Undercliff Drive homes.
There is still no access from the Niton end, with the future of the road in doubt.
Undercliff Drive can be accessed from St Lawrence Shute.
*An Island Roads spokeswoman confirmed this morning (Monday) that the stretch of road between Inglewood Park and Seven Sisters Road remained closed.

This area has had it very bad this winter. I do feel for the people here and wish them all the very best.
