Flooding causes road chaos

FLASH flooding has caused traffic chaos on the Isle of Wight's roads this morning (Tuesday).

Following heavy rainfall overnight, the Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for the Island.

Drivers should take extra care and leave additional time for their journeys.

Routes around Ryde and Ashey are particularly badly affected, and several roads in the area are under water this morning.

Island Line trains have been suspended and there are also delays on Southern Vectis routes 4 and 9.
