THE tender for The Corn Exchange in St Albans city centre will be on January 31.
St Albans District Council received 121 interested callers after advertising the retail property last month.
Eight potential buyers have been asked to submit offers.
The historical building was put up for sale to raise urgently needed cash, as the council is facing financial difficulties in preparing next month's budget.
