Fog warning from Met Office

A WEATHER warning for fog for the Isle of Wight has been issued by the Met Office.

The warning is in force from 6pm tonight (Monday) to 11am tomorrow (Tuesday).

The Met Office said: "Fog will become fairly extensive across many parts of England and Wales during Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday, with the visibility falling to 100-300 metres and locally 50 metres over hills."

Hovertravel is running a shuttle service due to heavy fog and journey times have been extended.

*Red Funnel is operating a two-boat Red Jet passenger service due to the heavy fog according to their Twitter feed @RF_Travel_News. The company is expecting heavy fog in The Solent until 10am tomorrow (Tuesday).
