TWO Manchester City football legends will visit the Isle of Wight on Wednesday.

Defender Tommy Booth, who played nearly 400 games for the club, and goalkeeper, Alex Williams, who made 125 appearances.

They will be speaking at a football evening put on by Wight Blues, the Isle of Wight branch of the Manchester City Supporters’ Club, at Newport FC’s St George’s Park ground on Wednesday, March 26.

Booth, who also played for England at under-23 level, was a stalwart central defender who won the league, European Cup Winners’ Cup and league cup twice with the club.

Williams, who became an MBE for his work with young people, has gone on to become a City ambassador.

The event, which starts at 7pm with a buffet, will raise money for Manchester City's charities.

All football fans are welcome and tickets, to include buffet supper, are £10 for adults or £5 concessions.

They are available by e-mailing or turning up on the night.
