As a Bees fan, I am fully in favour of the proposed stadium at south Underhill yet I believe it only fair for those concerned to voice their concerns.

What I do not agree with is the deliberate hysteria raised by those who do not have the facts to suit their theories.

The BRASS piece published last week (Bees new stadium: what is the solution?', Times Group, February 14) contains a number of inaccuracies.

There will be no second stadium at Underhill as the present one will be demolished.

The Scout group and St John Ambulance will have new quarters in the stadium.

Furthermore, the scheme will only go ahead if Barnet Cricket Club is suitably rehoused. Peter Sawyer says that the club has not consulted the community over the plans.

Tony Kleanthous has made strenuous efforts to listen to residents' concerns and has stressed the need for consultation.
