KINGS COLLEGE SCHOOL 21 - OLD MID-WHITGIFTIANS 31

Bitter experience should have taught Old Mid-Whitgiftians to take Saturday's Round 2 NPI Intermediate Cup clash with Wimbledon's Kings College School more seriously.

On paper the encounter between the London Division 1 team and a side three levels below them in Surrey 1 looked a pushover. Unfortunately for the Midwives it wasn't as they struggled to a tight 21-31 victory.

Getting going took the Mids long enough and it wasn't until the home side were 10-0 up that they started taking the clash seriously, running in a series of tries to take a 31-14 lead before allowing the home side to mount a late rally.

Mids return to London Division1 action on Saturday when they entertain Sudbury RFC at home.
