One Colts team braved the icy weather and frozen pitch only to be beaten 2-1.

London Colney Blues lost to Echoes Amber in a very tight Bushey Friendly League game.

The Blues took the lead against the run of play with a superb 25-yard looping shot from Craig Baxter.

But after constant pressure Echoes scored the equaliser at half time.

The second half produced a more even game with both sides pushing for the winner.

Then in the dying seconds Echoes snatched their second to claim the league points. Colney's player of the match was Ben Tester.

London Colney's Cougars fielded two teams who managed to fend off the raw conditions for a couple of Herts Girls' League games.

The U12s had three key players missing in this match where they were beaten 10-3 by Barnet Ladies.

While the Cougars went a goal up from an Olivia Jones they soon fell behind and found themselves chasing the game.

And two goals from Lucy Tape were of scant consolation for the Cougars.

But it was a different story for the U14s who enjoyed a convincing 3-1 win over Mill Hill.

The Cougars were playing with ten players against their high flying opponents -- but a superb goal from top scorer Sian Daniels gifted Colney with a terrific start.

And two further goals from Rebecca Crawley put the icing on the cake for the Cougars.

Mary Warren, Camilla Jones and Vicky Costello were Colney's joint players of the match.
