HEADTEACHER Lynda Evans got a soaking at the Weston Community Primary School summer fair, held at the Totland school on Saturday.
The event, which included craft and charity stalls and a fancy dress competition, as well as country dancing, wake up shake up and singing displays from Weston and Yarmouth Primary School pupils, raised around £400. It was organised by the Friends of Weston, led by chairman Charlotte Snooke.
"It was absolutely fab, a real family event. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time," said Mrs Evans.
"The whole idea was to promote our school, because we were going to be closed and now we are moving to a new site. It was a celebration of our new lease of life."
